Today the band releases the music video for their second single “Scratch&Claw”.

“This is the first song we ever worked on as a band. This song is about the everyday struggle we all go through. When you look in the mirror are you happy with what you see? The feeling of not being good enough. We all know what that feels like. This song is about dealing with those struggles and overcoming them. Every challenge is an obstacle you must overcome in your life.”

VENOM INC. – rilasciano una dichiarazione dopo l’intervento al cuore subito dal chitarrista Mantas!

I VENOM INC. - il trio formato dai leggendari Mantas, the Demolition Man & Abaddon – hanno rilasciato la seguente dichiarazione:

"Il 30 aprile 2018 il nostro amico, fratello e chitarrista Jeff ‘Mantas’ Dunn è stato colpito da un attacco cardiaco durante il quale è praticamente morto e ha dovuto essere riportato in vita. Dopo un mese di ricovero in ospedale si è sottoposto a un intervento per un doppio by pass a Lisbona, Portogallo, dove risiede attualmente. L’operazione si è conclusa con successo e ora è in convalescenza a casa”.

Mantas continua:

"Ho vissuto la più terribile esperienza della mia vita. Medici e infermieri hanno lottato per oltre cinque minuti per riportarmi in vita. Ora sono a casa e sto recuperando con camminate e un moderato esercizio fisico. Da oggi sarà interessante passare i controlli agli aeroporti perché ho un pezzo d’acciaio nel petto. Le cose accadute in queste ultime settimane sono molto difficili da accettare, ma ora stanno migliorando. Semplicemente non so da dove o come iniziare a ringraziare ogni singolo dottore, infermiere o operatore sanitario che ha giocato un ruolo, non importa quanto piccolo, nell'aiutarmi a riprendermi da questo. C'è ancora una lunga strada da percorrere, ma rimango positivo.

COLD SNAP - annunciano il nuovo album + iniziati i pre-ordini; pubblicano il primo singolo!

Dopo aver vinto con grande margine il concorso dell'etichetta convincendo l'intera giuria, i nuovi groove metallers COLD SNAP dalla Croazia hanno firmato un contratto con Arising Empire lo scorso anno. La band ha pubblicato il primo singolo 'Distance' e il suo video musicale. Il video, diretto da Jan Kerekes e Tin Majnaric è stato filmato in due giorni con oltre 80 persone coinvolte. I COLD SNAP, famosi per la loro attitudine DIY, hanno creato personalmente le scenografie di tutte le scene, inclusi 40 metri di recinzione con filo spinato. Il video è ispirato all'attuale situazione mondiale dove oltre 50000 persone lasciano le loro case e i loro cari alla ricerca di una vita migliore. E' dedicato a coloro che hanno lasciato tutto, che capiscono la lotta interiore di una persona che ama, che tiene alla propria famiglia e amici e vuole migliorare lo stato delle cose.

I Geisterfels sono una band francese fondata nel 2013 da Celine Rosenheim, in arte Nebel, una giovane compositrice che può essere considerata “la mente” della band. E’ suo il concept di questo La Nevrose De La Pierre, esordio assoluto dei nostri, che parla di un poeta che vaga nelle valli del Reno e della Mosella, tra castelli in rovina e scenari decadenti.

Ad occuparsi delle parti musicali è invece il polistrumentista Aldebaran (vero nome Guillaume Vrac), già protagonista nei Darkenhold, negli Artefact e in varie altre bands. A completare la formazione è il cantante Aharon, attivo anche nei Griffon.

Il genere proposto è un black metal melodico old school, ancora piuttosto grezzo, sebbene le composizioni non manchino di momenti interessanti, soprattutto nelle parti più di atmosfera. Particolarmente apprezzabili le contaminazioni con la musica medioevale di episodi quali “Les Ruines Du Castel”, “La Sentinelle Du Rhun” e “Geisterfels”, strumentalmente molto valide e con numerosi cambi di tempo. La liriche in francese contribuiscono ad accrescere il fascino e l’originalità della proposta, migliorabile invece la produzione, un po’ troppo ruvida e “anni ‘90”.

La Nevrose De La Pierre non è ancora un lavoro essenziale, ma è comunque un esordio interessante e una buona base di partenza su cui lavorare.
