MOONSPELL's FERNANDO RIBEIRO REVEALS UPCOMING RELEASES ON ALMA MATER RECORDS!

Vocalist of Portuguese dark metal pioneers MOONSPELL, Fernando Ribeiro seems to be a restless spirit. Beside heavily touring the world, releasing highly acclaimed records with his band MOONSPELL including their upcoming Live DVD as well as his recent dark poetry book released in English for the very first time ever, Ribeiro has started his own label imprint ALMA MATER BOOKS & RECORDS. With Alma Mater, he is not just returning his longtime experiences, network, support and manpower while being an active and successful musician in the music industry for more than 25 years back to the finest music talents the Portuguese scene has to offer, ALMA MATER BOOKS & RECORDS will also release some exciting book editions and combining the art of heavy music and books under one label.

Says Fernando Ribeiro: „Even tough I love what I do with Moonspell  I always found myself attracted by the doing of other things. Many of my idols like Quorthon (Ace Thomas Forsberg) from Bathory Offical  and Tom Gabriel Fischer have always other duties, revolving around the band but not limited to the band, that I found inspiring.

Putting the two things I like the most: great, meaningful music and excellent literature/poetry together is my plan with ALMA MATER.

Moonspell's struggle for quality and pertinence shall be reflected on the label’s joband we are trying our best to make Alma Mater Books & Records a solid, lasting label, looking into the future by signing Portuguese talent (D E S I R E + Okkultist ), provide them with the investment and knowledge they need; but also to pick and choose from our repertoire and create top of the chain editions while also looking into bands that have inspired us as musicians and spread that legacy through the release of limited editions like the inimitable Clouds from Tiamat  or the early, superbly raw materials of Paradise Lost and many more to come. Alma Mater!“

DEMANDE À LA POUSSIÈRE UNVEIL FIRST ALBUM DETAILS! Self-titled Debut Album Coming September 28th On Argonauta Records!

French Blackened Post-Core band DEMANDE À LA POUSSIÈRE, who just recently inked a deal with Italian label Argonauta Records, have unveiled first and hotly anticipated details about their upcoming and self-titled debut album! Set to be released on September 28th 2018, with their solid and eclectic attitude DEMANDE À LA POUSSIÈRE deliver an impressive hypnotic yet aggressive sound which move from Blackened Post Metal to Sludge and Doom, with an apocalyptic vibe of ambient bleakness!

Says the band: “Our album is a condensed substance of blackness. Carried by the only desire to take the listener in the apocalyptic meanders of an ordinary madness, in the midst of a profound sadness. Each title has its own soul and leads as an initiatory journey to the most absolute darkness. DEMANDE A LA POUSSIERE works to exorcise the greatest fears of peyote of the distant Indian tribe. Massive, heavy and sometimes unhealthy, tortuous is the way of redemption. The ghost of John Fante helps this project in what his poetry has worn as pain”.

The tracklist will read as follows:
1. L'Univers
2. Le Lendemain
3. Etranglé
4. L'Unique Certitude
5. Le Parfum des Cités Perdues
6. Accroché
7. Condamnés
8. 360°

STORMWITCH - Bound To The Witch

1. Songs Of Steel
2. Odins Ravens
3. The Choir Of The Dead
4. Bound To The Witch
5. Arya
6. Stormwitch
7. Life Is Not A Dream
8. King George
9. Ancient Times
10. The Ghost Of Mansfield Park
11. Nightingale
12. Stronger Than Heaven (bonus track)
13. Rats In The Attic (bonus Track)
14. Priest Of Evil (bonus track)

7,5/10

In every part of the song the main melodies shine and it’s no coincidence that the star of this single isn’t one of the seven band members, but the "Melody".

The band sums it up:

24/7 DIVA HEAVEN ANNOUNCE DEBUT EP RELEASE!

24/7 DIVA HEAVEN is a brand new band from Berlin, Germany, formed by members Kat, Mary and Karo. Influenced by the sounds of the 90s Hard Rock Scene, this band is made up of 3 talented members who all come from the Stoner Rock and Metal scene. However these ladies decided to try something different with 24/7 DIVA HEAVEN.

Inspired by bands such as L7, Bikini Kill, The Melvins, Nirvana, Dinosaur Jr or Sonic Youth, 24/7 DIVA HEAVEN play a pure blend of Hard Rock, Grunge and Punk Rock which is all bounded by the legendary Riot Grrrl sound. 24/7 DIVA HEAVEN have just finished recording their debut EP SUPERSLIDE and it's set to be self-released on September 6th 2018!

With a delicate and true LO-FI sound that allows 24/7 DIVA HEAVEN to create an almost classic 90s Hard Rock sound but with a modern sounding edge. The EP was recorded at Wasted Life Studios in Darmstadt / GER (Recorded, mixed & mastered by René Hofmann). Says vocalist and guitarist Kat:
"We are super psyched to finally announce the upcoming release of our debut EP "SUPERSLIDE"! This 5-track collection should give an impression of what 24/7 DIVA HEAVENS music is about: roughness, intuition & spontaneity. Influenced by alternative rock from the 90's, we wanted to combine various styles we love to create a modern version of a sound that contains all the ingredients that (we think) made the 90's to one of the most important decades for rock music: Heavyness & a touch of pop-appeal at the same time! Consequently, this EP was recorded live, one-take and analog on tape machine. SUPERSLIDE is for all people who like it loud. Enjoy! ;)"

I'LL BE DAMNED UNVEIL ALBUM DETAILS!

Rebel rockers I’LL BE DAMNED are back and set to release their second full length album titled 'Road To Disorder' on August 31st 2018 with Drakkar Entertainment! Denmark’s hottest Rock sensation since Volbeat has just unveiled first and exciting album details and release a first single to the track 'The Entire Universe'

We’re all damned. Most of us just don’t know it yet. The world is dancing a grim fandango right on the edge of the abyss, one foot dangling over the edge. Dark issues, clad in explosive tunes: The direction of 'Road To Disorder' is similar to that taken on last years’ self-titled debut sensation. Yet, nobody in this band is burying his head in the sand – even though the one or the other track off the new record are decidedly more doomy and gloomy. But still 'Road To Disorder' is a huge rollercoaster and bears every sign of a triumphant second album: Balls, power, anthems and a swagger with a vengeance! Metal, Punk, Stoner, Rock’n’Roll or Blues have been mangled and reassembled into something big and uncannily anthemic.

ÁRSTÍÐIR - Nivalis

"NIVALIS"

Release date: June 22nd, 2018

Label: Season Of Mist

Country: Iceland

Genre: Icelandic Independent

Tracklist:
1. While This Way
2. Lover
3. Please Help Me
4. Entangled
5. Like Snow
6. Thar Sem Enginn Fer
7. Circus
8. Oroi
9. Mute
10. Conviction
11. In The Wake Of You
12. Wasting Time
13. Passion

8/10
