Non c’è niente di male ad ammettere la propria appartenenza ad un genere, soprattutto quando si tratta di metal.

Ecco perché oggi parleremo di artisti, gli ORPHAN SKIN DISEASES (No Remorse, ex Sabotage, ex Creation per citarne alcuni), che hanno voluto buttare la loro trentennale esperienza in un progetto che possa adattarsi a qualunque stile e band abbiate nel cuore, nella forma meno convenzionale possibile.

  

Dreamy Reflections inizia con una progressione di accordi che riflettono la straordinaria intensità del thrash metal e la grande versatilità del metal classico, della scuola NWOBHM, nei virtuosismi di chitarra che coinvolgono le due voci di Di Caro e Bongianni in duetti da cardiopalma. 

Ammiccanti riflessi hardcore punk giocano con la spavalderia del rock made in Italy concedendo il fianco solo a qualche passaggio melodico più ruffiano e vintage.

Il disco è pura adrenalina,  "The Storm", "Awake" e "Just One More Day" (nelle tre versioni) fra i brani più intensi, dove la sottile linea rossa prog-thrash ne identifica la propria natura tagliente ed oscura.

Le cavalcate pirotecniche power e la potenza ritmica impiegata, completano un lavoro di originalità e professionalità davvero encomiabili.

Quando l'età non conta...ma è fondamentale!

“Non potrebbe essere più blasfemo di così”, ecco come il mastermind dei BEHEMOTH mastermind Nergal definisce il titolo dell’undicesimo album in studio “I Loved You At Your Darkest”, in uscita il 5 ottobre su Nuclear Blast (Europa) / Metal Blade Records (Nord America). Anche se potrebbe stridere un po’ per una band black metal — soprattutto se il precedente album si intitolava “The Satanist”— la sua origine sorprenderà più delle parole stesse. “È un versetto della Bibbia”, svela Nergal. “È una frase di Gesù Cristo stesso. Per i BEHEMOTH utilizzarlo alla base del proprio disco è un sacrilegio portato all’estremo”.

Una schiacciante salva di maestosità black metal piena di riff infernali, cannonate di tamburi tonanti e cori liturgici in ascesa che ricordano il classico cinema horror. "’I Loved You At Your Darkest’ è un disco più dinamico. È estremo e radicale da un lato, ma è anche più orientato al rock rispetto a qualsiasi altro lavoro dei BEHEMOTH".

French Doom Metal band CONVICTION have unveiled first and hotly anticipated details about their self-titled debut album, set for a release on November 9th 2018 with Argonauta Records!

Rising up from the mind of Olivier Verron (more known in the international Metal Scene under the alias of Amduscias, leader of the French Black Metal band TEMPLE OF BAAL), CONVICTION was formed in November 2013, when the first demo was composed and recorded… In only 11 hours. CONVICTION’s first release introducing a pure traditional Doom band influenced by SAINT VITUS, PENTAGRAM, COUNT RAVEN or early CATHEDRAL, was very well received within the Underground. After the release of their second digital single 'Outworn', CONVICTION was joined by guitar player Frédéric Patte-Brasseur (ATARAXIE, FUNERALIUM), bass player Vincent Buisson (MOURNING DAWN) and drummer Rachid “Teepee” Trabelsi (MOONSKIN, CORROSIVE ELEMENTS).

Li avevamo intravisti nel 2012 con il debutto “Leave This World Loud”, ma da allora non si erano più avute notizie.

Oggi i tedeschi Smoke The Sky tornano a farparlare di sé con un disco che vorrebbe unire il thrash metal di scuola californiana con quello più tecnico ed audace dei Prong. In parte il quartetto ci è riuscito, soprattutto grazie alla poliedricità di suono ed all'ottima creatività del gruppo.

The Human Maze appartiene a quel genere di dischi spesso sottovalutati o dimenticati solo perché prima di loro ce ne sono stati altri di importanza superiore, ma la sua qualità è tutta racchiusa in queste undici tracce capaci di liberarsi dei fantasmi del passato pur richiamandone ogni influenza. 

Il disco si apre con l'accattivante "Avoid the Void", un interessante connubio heavy metal e sgargianti sfumature blues che fa da apripista ad altrettanti ottimi brani come "The Engineers" e "It‘s Human", retaggi di un hard rock anni '70 alla Twisted Sister.

Riverberi del sud fanno da cornice alle splendide "Iron Sun" e "The Night", dove lo stoner rock prende la scena in un mix di voci ringhianti e ben armonizzate.

La panteriana "Time To Die Again" porta all'amplesso finale, lasciando un po’di amaro in bocca per la voracità con la quale è stato consumato ma anche con quel senso di appagamento  di chi sicuramente tornerà ancora a bussare alla loro porta.

FARMER BOYS - nuovo album e trailer del tour + annunciano il primo singolo "Revolt"

Con l'uscita del primo singolo "You And Me", i FARMER BOYS hanno segnato il loro sensazionale ritorno. Oltre alle apparizioni già annunciate della band al Summer Breeze e Turock Open Air, i FARMER BOYS suoneranno undici show da headliner in Germania dal 26 Novembre al 15 Dicembre. 

Dopo l'acclamatissimo ritorno live e diversi show sold out, la band è pronta a proporre nuova musica. Prima di svelare il nuovo album "Born Again" il 2 Novembre, il primo singolo "Revolt" uscirà il 24 Agosto.
