Tear Catcher è il primo album
solista di Jaani Peuhu (cantante, compositore, produttore e leader della elettro dark band finlandese Iconcrash).
Dalle atmosfere decadenti, le undici
tracce danno forma alle emozioni attraverso il suono come tante piccole istantanee,
ma unicamente in forma uditiva.
In maniera totalmente aperta ed
intima, l’artista finlandese, come un orologio biologico, va a ritroso nel
tempo, amalgamando con raffinatezza le atmosfere synth pop di Jean Michel Jarre in “I Believed”, con quelle più stravaganti e frivole degli Human League in “Follow
Me”, fino ad arrivare a quelle più cibernetiche della dark wave del nuovo
millennio in "Desire", in un mix equilibrato di melodia e voce.
La preponderanza delle tastiere,
ora spettrali e veloci, ora malinconiche, giocano con effetti speciali e suggestive
allucinazioni arrivando addirittura ad amplificare i propri sensi.
Tear Catcher appartiene a quella
categoria di album che detesterete quando vi sentirete ipnotizzati, ma che amerete nel momento in cui vi disorienterà.

Tear Catcher is the first solo album by Jaani Peuhu (singer, composer, producer and leader of the Finnish dark electro band Iconcrash).
With decadent atmospheres, the eleven tracks shape the emotions like many little snapshots that you can only see through the sound.
In a totally open and intimate way, the Finnish artist goes back in time like a biological clock, mixing easily the synth pop athmospheres à la Jean Michel Jarre in "I Believed", with the most extravagant and frivolous Human League in "Follow Me", until you get to the more cybernetic ones of the new dark wave in "Desire", in a balanced mix of melody and vocals.
The preponderance of the keyboards, sometimes eerie and fast, sometimes melancholic, plays with special effects and suggestive hallucinations, leading you to amplify your senses.
Tear Catcher is an album you’ll hate when you feel hypnotized, but you will love when you’ll be disoriented.
