Due leggende della musica finlandese, il chitarrista Esa Pulliainen dei The Agents e Ville Valo degli HIM (sciolti il 31 dicembre 2017), hanno registrato un album di canzoni scritte dal leggendario cantante finlandese Rauli “Badding” Somerjoki.
Il primo singolo dei Ville Valo & Agents, “Orpolapsi Kiurun” (“Orphan Child Of The Skylark”) che verrà pubblicato in streaming il 21 settembre prossimo anticiperà l'uscita dell'album di debutto prevista per i primi mesi del 2019 e sarà accompagnato da un tour.
Esa Pulliainen ha dichiarato:
"This story begins three years ago,” says Pulliainen, whose band played with Badding in the 80s. “Upon finding three demo cassettes in my drawer which had been sent to me by Badding back in the day, I knew I had to contact Ville right from the get-go. I was aware he knows his Badding inside out. I'm really happy that we were able to finalize this project. Badding meant for these songs to be recorded and even if it took us 30 years to make that happen, I feel I've kept my promise."
Il frontman degli HIM aveva già collaborato con i The Agents nel 1998 incidendo tre canzoni "Ikkunaprinsessa", "Paratiisi" e "Jykevää On Rakkaus".
